
Paul Young is famed for his talents as a singer and songwriter, formerly the frontman of Q-Tips, Streetband and Kat Kool & the Kool Cats. Having also enjoyed a successful solo career, Paul continues to tour the world with the band Los Pacominos and has performed with famed artists such as Ian Dury and Pink Floyd. With a music career spanning over four decades, Paul has entertained several generations with his musical talents and continues to be a popular musician to have perform at events today.
After playing bass in bands at school, Paul first became the lead singer of Kat Kool & the Kool Cats before joining Streetband in the 1970s. After nine successful years, during which Paul claimed a spot on the Top 20 UK Singles Charts, Streetband eventually disbanded. After disbanding, a collection of the members of Streetband reassembled to form Q-Tips, going on to tour the UK and achieve recognition in the pages of famed NME. After releasing two albums and seven singles with Q-Tips, Paul left the band and signed a solo contract with Columbia Records.
